Books for Asia

For more than fifty years, The Asia Foundation's Books for Asia Program has distributed books and educational materials to libraries, schools and other institutions throughout the Asia-Pacific. Your support can help rebuild libraries, stock depleted collections, and improve education for people of all ages.

China Program

Focus is on legal reform, training for migrant women workers, support for the emerging non-profit sector and women's organizations, and constructive U.S.-China relations. Your support can make a difference in addressing challenges that have arisen through China's rapid economic rise, and helping those who have been left behind.

Environment Program

Aims to protect the health and sustainability of Asia's eco-systems and defend against degradation. Your donation will help support critical projects, from preserving precious water supplies in Mongolia to green hotel re-building in post-tsunami communities.

Women's Empowerment Fund

Committed to giving women and girls the means to improve their lives and the voice to make a difference. Your gift will empower women in Asia through programs that focus on areas such as increasing access to education, reducing trafficking and violence against women, and expanding women’s political and economic opportunities.

Lotus Circle

Your annual gift to the Women's Program of $1,000 or more will bring you into the Lotus Circle, an exceptional community of people making a significant commitment to The Asia Foundation's cutting-edge work promoting women's rights and opportunities. Members of the Lotus Circle receive reports on our Women's Program initiatives, The Asia Foundation Bulletin quarterly newsletter, and exclusive invitations to special events and opportunities to travel with us to see firsthand the impact of their commitment and financial support.

High Priority Project: America's Role in Asia

Every four years, The Asia Foundation brings together experts from across Asia and the U.S. to examine critical issues in U.S.-Asian relations. Your contribution will ensure that American and Asian policymakers and business leaders have access to the views and recommendations of these experts.

Vietnam Program

Focus is on programs advancing women's empowerment, educational opportunities for disadvantaged girls and support for trafficking victims, economic growth, good governance, legal reform, improved international relations; and the environment. In addition, through our Books for Asia program approximately 40,000 books are distributed each year to hundreds of institutions throughout the country. Your contribution helps continue Vietnam's bright and growing future.
